Large examples of this infamous Ammonite marble are a rarity these days, since this isolated deposit is no longer productive or accessible to the collector. This specimen is prepared on one side and polished to a fine grade on the other. Ammonites are Asteroceras Marstonense, Promicroceras Marstonense and Xipheroceras Xiphus. Orange calcite septarian veins run throughout the piece, intersecting the ammonites. A classic British fossil.
