A classic piece of Marston Marble, packed with ammonites which are interlocked by orange septarian veins. This specimen is prepared on one side and polished to a fine grade on the other. Ammonites are Promicroceras Marstonense and Xipheroceras Xiphus. Examples of this infamous Ammonite marble are becoming a rarity these days, since this isolated deposit is no longer productive or accessible to the collector. Base is cut for display.
