This extremely rare ammonite came from a limited exposure which produced just a few ammonites of this calibre. This large Epohpioceras has been skilfully prepared out of a hard limestone nodule. There is a 'gas blowout' present, with the shell still in association.

Age: Lower Jurassic, Lower Lias - 196 million years old
