This wonderful crinoid (Pentacrinites Fossilis) plate was recovered from the shale ledges of Stonebarrow, Charmouth after a storm and has been carefully pieced back together. These crinoids anchored themselves during life to the underside of floating driftwood. Quality crinoid from this classic locality are rare and this is no exception with stunning detail throughout. A thin layer of pyrite covers this specimen.
