A stunning juvenile Barasaurus Besairiei preserved in a split nodule. Barasaurus is an extinct genus of Procolophonoid Parareptile from the Permian of Madagascar. This positive/negative exhibits fine detail, including dark patches of skin and a row of four gastroliths preserved in place. These gastroliths were consumed during life in order to weigh the reptile down to hunt at greater depths.
